This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people, but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. (II Corinthians 9:8-15)
In this chapter of our lives, this verse has become the unifying theme of our work. We want to serve God by serving God’s people. Our experiences have shown us that we find joy in serving the needs of organizations. We especially have a heart for the work of Christian organizations. We know there are tasks that need to be done that no one on staff has the time to do. We can help.
The windmill — a common sight during the five years we lived in Kansas — is a vivid image of our calling. Its work seems almost effortless as it responds to the wind bringing forth refreshing water. The windmill is a tool of the marvelous power of wind. Likewise, God has called us to turn our faces to the wind of the Holy Spirit and to be used to draw out the endless supply of water that ministers to those who have need.
Our ministry name, Empowering Services, catches the sense of the windmill. We offer practical services that release the productivity, the power, the creativity of people gathered around organizational tasks and mission.
