Noah Baker Merrill
Spiritual Nurture
In the Quaker tradition, traveling ministers – today and historically – play a vital role in one-on-one spiritual encouragement through ongoing correspondence and “opportunities”, times of shared worship in which insights or guidance might be offered as led by the Holy Spirit. Noah carries a special concern for encouraging the spiritual lives of young adults, those exploring calls to ministry of some kind, those seeking to understand and live with new and challenging spiritual experiences, and those struggling with a felt absence of God’s presence – what some call the “dark night of the soul”.
Noah meets regularly with Friends and others interested in deepening their spiritual journeys in the Quaker tradition. Opportunities are available both in-person as geography allows, as well as via phone and videoconference. Sessions are usually about an hour, and can be one-time or ongoing. While no fee is charged, donations to support the ministry are welcome. Contact Noah for more information at noah@goodnewsassoc.org
