Howard Macy is Professor Emeritus of Religion and Biblical Studies at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. A recorded Friends minister, he has actively engaged in university teaching, public ministry, and writing, particularly around the themes of Bible and spirituality. Among his books are Rhythms of the Inner Life: Yearning for Closeness with God, and Laughing Pilgrims: Humor and the Spiritual Journey, both of which are available as e-books. He and his wife Margi enjoy living in and exploring the wonders of the Pacific Northwest through birding, photography, puzzling over geology, and much more.
